Is RaTheMC's Cover Biting or Dissing Wale?

So, some of my good fellows on the MD/DC/VA board on NikeTalk.com feel as though Ra's cover is a bite/and or dis of Wale's joint. Look at the titles. And both covers are inspired by TV shows (Seinfeld and Martin). Here is a bit of what Judah had to say (Ra is his artist if you didn't know):

"She was inspired by his tape so she did it her way. She is showing respect for one and for two non industry people have seen it and respect and want to hear it because they obviously didnt connect with Seinfield but I'm sure they can connect with Martin"

What do ya'll think? Drop comments...

Lyriciss f RAtheMC-2Sick

Lyriciss likes sending stories with his music. So here goes: *sits down Indian style*

Another track where I don't have a really deep explanation for it or anything...I got the beat, I wrote the hook and my verse, hit up the dopest female MC in the DMV (if not the world...we think on the larger plateau), and a dope track was created. This WILL be on my new mixtape, "Voice Of The Metro", dropping in late September/early October (I know y'all want a date, but it's a free project and it's still mid-August...gimme a lil time to make that definite lol). DON'T FORGET...cop RAtheMC's new mixtape, "The Mixtape About Something...I Think", dropping THIS Tuesday, August 19. We're all about that unity and dope music in the DMV, so you know I'mma push her shit like it's MY shit. Congrats to her having the HipHopGame Demo Of The Month also. Peace & Hip-Hop.

Come Help Me Do Me-Holadizza f Lil Boosie, Raheem Devaughn

When's the last time someone unsigned from the area had more than one major artist on a track?

Can A DMV Artist Top 1 Million Albums?

Got this email and found it interesting:

Let's help D'General achieve Lil Wayne status by topping 1,000,000+ albums sold.

Preview & Purchase D'General Latest Album Release at:
http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/dgeneral2

Also, check him out on myspace at: http://www.myspace.com/dgeneralmusic

Thanks in advance.

Now, this got me thinking....do you think the DMV will ever have an artist sell a million albums? Let's change that....will we ever have a RAP artist sell a million albums? Nonchalant went gold back in the day.

Nas' Black President Was Originally For A Local Artist

I'm officially gonna call the XXL Magazine with the Jeezy/Foxy covers the "DMV Issue of XXL" I already posted a lot of stuff I came across in that issue that highlights the DMV (NOE, Raheem). Plus I noticed Wale is in there three different times (LRG ad, mixtape review, story on hipster hip-hop). So today I'm reading the mini interview with DJ Green Lantern, and he mentions how a Maryland artist he works with gave him the idea for Nas' "Black President." The idea was for her song. Introducing Christina K. Go check her out:
